Gluten Free Apple Crumble and Cinnamon Slices

These are the perfect winter snack or apple crumble pudding and even better when heated up or with a dash of yoghurt. 


If you have a load of apples that need eating you know what to do! 


These are very easy to make, it’s a one bowl wonder and they are the perfect treat! 


The recipe is: (makes 6 squares) 


360g apples chopped into cubes 

150g sugar (you can use a sugar alternative- I tried honey, however, I am yet to perfect the recipe with honey as it was a little dense and wet). 

1 tsp cinnamon 

360g gluten free plain flour

120g butter melted

1 egg


Heat the oven to 180c.

Add the dry ingredients to the bowl, then add the apple chopped. 

Add the butter and egg and mix, until well combined. 

Press the mixture into a baking tray lined with baking paper (you want a tray that allows the mixture to be about 1.5 inches thick. 

Bake for 50 minutes until brown onto and baked though inside (check with a fork, it should be clean when you pull it out).
